Introduction
In education, Progressive Intervention (sometimes abbreviated PI) is a method of applying the core principles of the research based Response to Intervention (RtI) method to the population of students served by online 6-12 education. This theory was developed by the T.H.E. Company Inc.’s Online Program Operations Consulting Group in August 2009. The term, “Progressive Intervention” was coined in response to a educator’s question, “if I have progressive discipline plan for my students, why can’t I have a progressive intervention plan?”
